milter-greylist is a stand-alone milter written in C that implements the greylist filtering method, as proposed by Evan Harris. Grey listing works by assuming that, unlike legitimate MTA, spam engines will not retry sending their junk mail on a temporary error. The filter will always reject mail temporarily on a first attempt, then accept it after some time has elapsed. If spammers ever try to resend rejected messages, we can assume they will not stay idle between the two sends (if they do, the spam problem would just be solved). Odds are good that the spammer will send a mail to a honey pot address and get blacklisted in several real-time distributed black lists before the second attempt.

rvm v1.14-1rsk for 386 or better (354077 bytes, 06May12)
RVM, a Recoverable Virtual Memory system, is a mechanism to support persistent virtual memory in the face of system crashes. The current state of affairs is that software rather than hardware is limiting factor is systems reliability, and so RVM is intended to assist in building more robust software. RVMs principal reliability criterion is to provide permanence of committed changes and integrity of data over operating system crashes. The fatal nature of these all-too-frequent events often leaves data structures in a shambles. But the all-or-none property of atomic transactions can insure consistency of data structures over crashes and makes the application significantly more robust with small cost. Using simple, non-nested local transactions, it provides a way to automatically checkpoint the state of memory before an operation and restore that state in the event of a crash.

The more traditional traceroute(8) sends out either UDP or ICMP ECHO packets with a TTL of one, and increments the TTL until the destination has been reached. By printing the gateways that generate ICMP time exceeded messages along the way, it is able to determine the path packets are taking to reach the destination. The problem is that with the widespread use of firewalls on the modern Internet, many of the packets that traceroute(8) sends out end up being filtered, making it impossible to completely trace the path to the destination. However, in many cases, these firewalls will permit inbound TCP packets to specific ports that hosts sitting behind the firewall are listening for connections on. By sending out TCP SYN packets instead of UDP or ICMP ECHO packets, tcptraceroute is able to bypass the most common firewall filters.
Requires tcpdump.
tightvnc v1.3.9-1rsk for 386 or better (880547 bytes, 06May12)
TightVNC is a VNC distribution with many new features, improvements, and bugfixes over VNC. It is optimized for faster operation on slow network links such as modem connections, provides more configuration options in the server, features automatic SSH tunneling in the Unix vncviewer, and more. The modified servers and viewers are fully compatible with the original VNC software.
Requires libXext, libX11, libxcb, libXau, libXdmcp, libXaw, libXmu, libXt, libSM, libICE, libXpm, libXp, and util-linux-ng.
tinc v1.0.12-1rsk for 386 or better (374077 bytes, 06May12)
tinc is a Virtual Private Network (VPN) daemon that uses tunnelling and encryption to create a secure private network between hosts on the Internet.
Requires openssl or openssl-solibs, and lzo.
tivodecode v0.1.4-1rsk for 386 or better (24866 bytes, 06May12)
This software converts a .TiVo file (produced by the TiVoToGo functionality on recent TiVo software releases) to a normal MPEG file. This has the same functionality as using TiVo's supplied DirectShow DLL on Windows with a tool such as DirectShowDump, but is portable to different architectures and operating systems, and runs on the command line using files or pipes. The conversion still requires the valid MAK of the TiVo which recorded the file, so it cannot be used to circumvent their protection, simply to provide the same level of access as is already available on Windows.
unfs3 v0.9.21-1rsk for 386 or better (60116 bytes, 06May12)
UNFS3 is a user-space implementation of the NFSv3 server specification. It provides a daemon for the MOUNT and NFS protocols, which are used by NFS clients for accessing files on the server. It has support for ClusterNFS extensions.
unison v2.27.57-1rsk for 386 or better (458660 bytes, 06May12)
Unison is a file-synchronization tool for Unix and Windows. It allows two replicas of a collection of files and directories to be stored on different hosts (or different disks on the same host), modified separately, and then brought up to date by propagating the changes in each replica to the other. Unison shares a number of features with tools such as configuration management packages (CVS, PRCS, Subversion, BitKeeper, etc.), distributed filesystems (Coda, etc.), uni-directional mirroring utilities (rsync, etc.), and other synchronizers (Intellisync, Reconcile, etc).
vzctl v3.0.22-1rsk for 386 or better (180312 bytes, 06May12)
This utility allows system administator to control Virtual Environments, i.e. create, start, shutdown, set various options and limits etc.
Requires vzquota.
xrdp v0.4.0-1rsk for 386 or better (252867 bytes, 06May12)
The goal of this project is to provide a fully functional Linux terminal server, capable of accepting connections from rdesktop and Microsoft's own terminal server / remote desktop clients. Unlike Windows NT/2000/2003 server, xrdp will not display a Windows desktop but an X window desktop to the user. Xrdp uses Xvnc or X11rdp to manage the X session.
Requires openssl or openssl-solibs.
xvidcore v1.1.2-1rsk for 386 or better (352082 bytes, 06May12)
XviD is an open source MPEG-4 video codec, written in C with assembler optmizations for quality and speed (including MMX, SSE, and 3Dnow! code for i386 and AltiVec for PowerPC).
yasm v0.8.0-1rsk for 386 or better (831712 bytes, 06May12)
Yasm is a complete rewrite of the NASM assembler under the "new" BSD License (some portions are under other licenses). Yasm currently supports the x86 and AMD64 instruction sets, accepts NASM and GAS assembler syntaxes, outputs binary, ELF32, ELF64, RDOFF2, COFF, Win32, and Win64 object formats, and generates source debugging information in STABS, DWARF 2, and CodeView 8 formats.
